£25 million, anyone?

Up to £25 million pounds is laying dormant in unclaimed Premium Bond prizes says a new report.

The largest cash sum with no claimant is £25,000, reveals National Savings and Investments and there are many other prizes, including three of £10,000 that are still up for grabs.

There is no time limit on when people can collect their prizes, so National Savings is urging people to check if they are winners of any of the unclaimed cash.

'It’s remarkable that we need to remind customers to claim any prize, particularly those worth £25,000. We're standing by to give away as much as possible of the £25 million in unclaimed prizes and urge customers to get in touch to check if they are a winner,' said Sally Swait, Premium Bond manager at National Savings.

Premium Bonds notify people by post when they have won a prize and National Savings believes that the number of unclaimed prizes results from investors not telling them that they moved house.

Anyone who would like to check if they are the recipient of some luck can run their numbers in www.nsandi.com.

Premium Bonds, launched in 1956, are a unique way of saving. For every pound that is invested, people have the chance of winning a cash prize.
