HSBC launches credit card offer
Banking giant HSBC has announced it has extended the zero per cent offer on its credit card, which should help 'wrap up' Christmas spending.
It says that all balances and balances transfers will be interest free for nine months (after this time an APR of 13.9 per cent will apply) as well as a range of other features.
HSBC claims that the credit card will encourage people to control their debts, because it allocates payments to the most expensive debt first. In this way, the debt that earns the highest interest will be paid off first.
Other features include interest free cash withdrawals and purchases, price promise insurance and 'advanced' fraud detection systems.
HSBC's head of cards, Roger Lovering said: 'At HSBC we want to help cardholders plan how they are going to repay their debt once the festivities are over.'
Around one in four people are expected to pay for Christmas this year on credit and it is best to shop around for the best credit deal if you are thinking of doing so. |
