Motoring claims push up premiums
Premiums are on the rise and the insurance industry has made the decision to increase the cost of premiums. Norwich Union customers have already seen an increase in their premiums and clients of Direct Line and Churchill look set to follow, Admiral also looked set to put an increase in place. Norwich Union said it would lift its premiums by as much as 40 per cent for some drivers and an average rise looks to be around the 16 per cent mark.
The cost of running a car has risen to over £2,200 per annum, partly due to increases in the price of petro. The average cost of insuring a car is around £460 per year. |
