Britons "confused" over financial advice
New research shows that less than half of Britons are sure of where to turn to find out their financial worth.
The survey by Standard Life reveals a picture of confusion over consumers' management of their budgets, with only 15 per cent currently knowing where their savings are invested.
John Taylor, marketing director commented: 'It is of great concern that so many people are still confused over their financial planning.'
He suggested: 'Many people are wearing a financial blindfold when it comes to their future plans. Financial advice is the way to remove this blindfold.'
However, the findings indicate a general consumer reluctance to take up the option of professional financial advice.
Only 55 per cent have seen a financial adviser and only 14 per cent believe that a professional would be able to assist them with maximising the value of their savings.
As an effective alternative, consumers can look online to obtain the most straightforward and easily accessible advice on managing their budgets. |
