UK drivers committing sins of the road
A new survey has shown that up to 30 million UK drivers admit to some rather dodgy manoeuvres on the road and quite often they are down to the seven deadly sins.
Pride was the worst sin on the road, with half of motorists admitting to breaking the speed limit and one in five talking on their mobile when driving.
Wrath affects some of the nation too, with 17 per cent claiming they used their horns in anger to get people to move out of their way.
Just over a quarter admit to laziness by parking illegally, while a further 14 per cent confess that they have parked in a disabled bay when they shouldn't have.
Craig Staniland, director of underwriting at swiftcover.com commented: 'It's worrying when people are so stressed and harassed behind the wheel that they are putting themselves and others at risk.'
Drivers need to calm down and de-stress before they drive, to reduce the risk of accidents and increasing their insurance policy.
Driving dangerously could also invalidate any insurance claims, so it is important to drive safely and sensibly while on the roads. |
